Iron Fitting
You hit irons into the green more than any other club — so a mismatched lie angle or uneven gapping quietly costs you strokes round after round, usually without you ever tracing it back to the equipment.
Measured While You Swing, Not While You Stand Still
Lie angle looks correct when a club is resting on the ground, but the number that matters is the dynamic lie angle at the moment of impact — which shifts based on your posture, grip, and swing plane. We use impact tape and lie-angle boards alongside launch monitor face angle data to measure lie angle as it actually behaves during your swing, not at rest.
Even 2–3 degrees of dynamic lie angle error can push shots consistently left or right of target, an issue that's frequently misdiagnosed as a swing flaw.
Even Yardage Steps From Top to Bottom
We measure carry distance for every iron in your set, then rebuild lofts, lengths, and shaft profiles so the gaps between clubs are consistent from top to bottom of the set.
| Club | Carry | Gap |
|---|---|---|
| 6-Iron | 168 yds | — |
| 7-Iron | 156 yds | 12 yds |
| 8-Iron | 144 yds | 12 yds |
| 9-Iron | 132 yds | 12 yds |
| PW | 119 yds | 13 yds |
What We Decide Together, Club by Club
Shaft Material & Flex
Steel, graphite, and multi-material shafts each change feel, launch, and spin differently. We compare across categories against your actual swing speed and tempo.
Head Category
Players' irons, players' distance irons, and game-improvement heads trade forgiveness for workability at different points — we test where your strike pattern actually sits.
Set Makeup
Deciding where irons stop and hybrids or fairway woods take over is a gapping decision, not a tradition — we map it against your real carry numbers.
Get Your Whole Set Mapped
Iron set sessions run 60–90 minutes and end with a full written gapping report covering every club.
